The National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago is hosting viewings of Ramleela in Cedar Hill, Princes Town. Ramleela is a dramatic re-enactment of the life of Lord Rama as described in the Ramayana, ending in a 10 day battle between him and Ravan.
Cedar Hill’s Ramleela celebration is said to be one of the oldest and largest in Trinidad. This outdoor theatre was brought to Trinidad by East Indian Indentured Labourers over 165 years ago.
